This type of bet predicts that the total number of goals or points scored in a match — or in one of its halves or periods — will be less than the specified value. The total includes all goals or points scored by both teams combined. If the bet concerns the number of goals or points scored by only one team, it falls under the Individual Total market.

How to best play the Total Under bet in football?
For a single match, bookmakers offer more than 10 Total Under options with different outcomes and odds. The odds for a Total Under bet decrease geometrically as the numerical value increases.
For example, in the 3rd round of Serie A, in the match between “Juventus” and “Napoli,” bookmakers offered 12 Total Under options ranging from TU 0.5 to TU 6.5.
Possible outcomes of the “Total Under” bet
Win: The bet wins if the total number of goals or points scored by the end of the match or one of its periods is less than the declared number.
Loss: The bet loses if the number of goals or points scored exceeds the declared number.
Refund: The bet is refunded if the number of goals or points scored exactly matches the declared number. For example, if the final score of the match is 3–0, a TU 3 bet is settled with odds of 1.0.
