Possible outcomes
When placing a “Team 1 Under 2.5” bet, the player can expect several possible outcomes:
Win: The “Team 1 Under 2.5” bet wins if the home team wins in regular time with a goal difference of no more than two.
In Round 4 of the 2020/21 English Premier League, Newcastle hosted Burnley and won 3–1. The difference was +2, so the “Team 1 Under 2.5” bet won. Had Newcastle scored one more goal, the bet would have lost since the difference would have exceeded 2.5.
Loss: The “Team 1 Under 2.5” bet loses if the away team wins, if the match ends in a draw, or if the home team wins by more than 2.5 goals – 3:0, 4:1, 5:2, etc.
