The company’s commitment to horse racing is rooted in its history. It was founded in 1886 by two businessmen who took bets on racehorses from the village of Ladbroke (hence the name). By 1902, the company had expanded and moved to London. Football betting began in the late 1950s. To this day, the company operates more than 3,000 land-based betting shops across the United Kingdom.
The online betting site launched in 2000 and quickly became the country’s most popular. The company began global expansion with a focus on Southeast Asia. Thanks to this, for example, Asian handicap betting became available.
Sports selection for betting
Despite football’s unmatched popularity in England, the bookmaker offers several dozen sports for both pre-match and live betting. Almost all team sports with international tournaments are represented on Ladbrokes.
In addition to sports, the pre-match line includes betting options for TV shows, international contests and awards, political events, esports, and virtual sports.
Live betting is available in the In-Play section. The range of sports here is slightly smaller, as not all of them have round-the-clock events.
